Cold punching die, also called stamping die, placed within the sheet at room temperature to apply deformation force, so that it produces deformation, so as to obtain a certain shape, size and performance of the product parts of the special special tools. There are many forms of stamping die, generally can be classified according to the following main features:

1. According to the nature of the process classification

(1) Punching die along the closed or open contour line so that the material to produce a separation of the mold. Such as drop mold, punching die, cut off the mold, notch mold, cutting edge mold, cutting mold, etc..

(2) bending die to make the slab blank or other blanks along the straight line (bending line) to produce bending deformation, so as to obtain a certain angle and shape of the workpiece mold.

(3)Deep-drawing die is to make the slab into an open hollow part, or make the hollow part further change the shape and size of the mold.

(4) molding die is the blank or semi-finished workpiece according to the shape of the convex, concave mold directly copy molding, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation of the mold. Such as expansion mold, shrinking mold, flaring mold, undulating mold, flanging mold, plastic mold and so on.

2. According to the degree of combination of process classification

(1) single-process mold in a stroke of the press, only to complete a stamping process of the mold.

(2) Composite mold Only one station, in a stroke of the press, in the same station at the same time to complete two or more stamping process mold.

(3)Progressive die (also called continuous die) A die with two or more stations in the direction of blank feeding, in which two or more stamping processes are completed one after another at different stations during one stroke of the press.

What are the characteristics of hardware stamping die classification

Hardware stamping die in China's mold manufacturing industry has developed rapidly, the technical research and production quality and other layers of control. Has gradually towards the development trend of large-scale. Hardware stamping molds are widely used in all walks of life, the following characteristics of hardware stamping molds by the editor to share with you classification. Hardware stamping mold Hardware stamping molds can be divided into 3 categories according to different features First: according to the deformation characteristics of the material classification of the drop mold, punching die, cut off the mold, cutting mold, cutting edge mold, bending mold, deep drawing mold, mold, embossing mold, cold extrusion mold, and so on. Second: according to the nature of the process classification of blanking die, bending die, deep drawing die and forming die. Punching die along the closed or open contour line so that the material to produce a separation of the mold. Bending die so that sheet blanks or other blanks along the straight line (bending line) to produce bending deformation, so as to obtain a certain angle and shape of the workpiece mold. Third: according to the degree of process combination classification of single-process mold, composite mold and progressive die. Single-process mold in a press stroke, only one stamping process is completed in the mold. Composite mold only one station, in a stroke of the press, in the same station at the same time to complete two or more stamping process mold. Progressive die (also known as continuous mold) in the blank feeding direction, with two or more stations, in a stroke of the press, in different stations one by one to complete two or more stamping process mold. Hardware stamping die manufacturing materials are steel, cemented carbide, steel junction carbide, zinc-based alloys, low melting point alloys, aluminum bronze, polymer materials and so on. At present, the vast majority of the materials for manufacturing stamping die to steel-based, commonly used mold working parts of the types of materials are: carbon tool steel, low alloy tool steel, high carbon and high chromium or chromium tool steel, medium carbon alloy steel, high-speed steel, base steel and carbide, steel cemented carbide and so on.
